SUTEKH
[two rhapsodies]

TEXT16

format: 12-inch e.p.
release date: Feb 2005

a1 Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini, Variation 17
b1 Rhapsody Pathetique in D minor

Sutekh's true love is classical music, but somehow, he can't stop making techno. When not practicing Hanon's piano studies or analyzing Bach chorales, Sutekh continues to be distracted by computers, speakers, and other post-industrial relics that fill his attic studio. In this selection of two opuses, Sutekh seduces us with just a hint of harmonic sophistication wrapped in the blanket of thumping, DJ-friendly beats. Less scary than the average Sutekh production, but nevertheless full of the same intricately programmed minimal funk you've come to know and love... Sutekh's first solo release on Context since 2000!
